The Pain is Always There
My back pain developed shortly after being diagnosed with Parkinson's. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in the fall of 2003. In December 2004, I broke a vertebra L-1, very painful, then in the summer 2008 I broke two more vertebrae L-3 andT-10. I had vertrabraplasty done on T-10 and L-3 in the fall 2008. One of my last reports reads as follows...Findings four view of the patients thoracic spine include AP, Lateral, and Swimmers view Osteophyte formation is seen atmost levels with degenerative disc disease at all levels, however more prominent in the mid and lower levels, where there is some height of some lower thoracic vertebral bodies with particular compression of T10 as well. Additional compression fractures of lower thoracic and upper lumbar segments.I have had bone biopsy done and all tests came back negative for multiple myeloma, which they felt i had. Now am being treated with reclast for osteoporosis, in the mean time my back Hurts 24/7. I am on a pain patch. It helps, but I still hurt. - Ray
