Before it is too Late

Hi, my name is David! I have been dealing with back pain now for around 20 years and let me tell you, it has just about defeated me, at times!

I first had serve back pain when I was in my late teens and by the time I was in my early 20's I was suffering badly, every day. I was having a lot of time off work and had no life at all. I was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis by a surgeon and had my first opp at the age of 23 (2 weeks after I was married). I had screws inserted and some bone grafting as well.

Things went well for a couple of years and were manageable but at the age of 27 had my second lot of surgery after things became worse. I had a lot of calcification around the the screws and was causing a lot of pressure on the nerves. My legs would give way from time to time and I would nearly hit the deck. (boy that would have looked funny if you were behind me).

That all leads to where I am today! I am in that much pain and have serve nerve pain down my legs and feel like my toes are going to explode. I have had nerve blocks and nerves burnt to try a eliminate the pain but it is still there. I am thinking of a fusion as my second last option. My other 2 surgeries have worked but each has come with a new symptom. So I hope this works and I am positive it will.

I have a lot of people in my life who I love dearly and have hurt due to the anger the pain has brought on. To these people all I can say is sorry!

I have considered (only in recent times) the number 1 option but that would hurt everyone else and just be an easy cop out.

We all have the choice to live with the pain or get something done about it. I'll choose what I feel is the best option for me and me only!

Just make sure you do something before it's too late!

Regards

Dave!
