Everyday Back Pain

My story starts off with saying I'm 18 years old and I suffer from lower back pain everyday. This pain started about three months ago when I was injured in a car wreck. I broke my L1 (first bone in the Lumbar series). I wore a brace for the first two months, which caused my back to spasm and was very discomforting. There's not a day that has gone by since I broke this bone that it has not hurt. Before this I've never really experienced this kinda pain, I can't sit for to long or stand up for too long. Its as if my lower back gets numb and just aches all the time. The doctors prescribed me pain medication, but nothing I take or have taken really seems to work. I don't really sleep very good anymore. I can't sleep on my back because the pressure that builds up, makes it feel as if my back was going to snap in half. I'm trying to find ways to get help, because this pain is almost unbearable. I'm only 18 and my back makes me feel as if I'm 80. I just want my body to go back to the way it used to feel. - Brittany
