Interpreting MRI Diagnosis
My back and leg pain was bad enough that I was forced to stay in bed all day. After several doctor appointments and many pills, I had an MRI, it showed problems with my l4-l5 joint. I had in injection there and it did not help. My pain was in my lower right leg. After many questions I finally got a doctor to tell me that the nerve, running to this area, exits the back through the l5-s1 joint (this did not show up on the MRI). I had an injection along the nerve exiting this joint. This was only a minor help. Then I had an injection in the facet joint l5-s1. I was back to work in three days. I have had one more injection since then (this is over a 7 year period) I have been back to normal since.hope this helps someone, Denny
