My Frustration
Hello my name is Lisa and I have been suffering from DDD (degenerative disc disease),and a bulging disc L5/S1. I've been dealing with chronic pain for 3 months now. I'm extremely frustrated with the lack of compassion and disbelief associated with my Primary Care doctor. I was told by her today that on my MRI there is no "proof" that suggests that I should be suffering from the chronic back pain that I feel on a daily basis. However, it clearly states that I have a bulging disc and also narrowing on my L5/S1. There is also pressure on my sciatica nerve. That has to be one of the worst pains I've felt in my life. I'm just looking for other people in my situation that can make me feel that I'm not crazy, or imagining this pain. Because of all this stress I've also been depressed. People take for granted the fact that they can sit and stand with ease. They can shave their legs or get dressed with no help. Coughing or sneezing is awful. I have to brace myself! I'm also looking for suggestions as to what medicines work best. I'm allergic to Ibuprofen and Aleve which doesn't leave much aside from percocet. I just tried Ultram but I'm not happy with this either. Thank you in advance!! Lisa
